Actually, I had a similar situation. I needed to hook up my rx2600
to my Raritan KVM switch, which has PS/2 plugs.

With a patch (to be included in the full V8.2) and a Belkin F5u199e
PS2 to USB converter, you can use your existing keyboard.

A limitation is that DECwindows assumes that the keyboard is a US
keyboard because there is no communications across the PS/2 link.
But you can always create custom keyboard map...
