Found the answer myself in http://www.openvms.digital.com/wizard/wiz_6431.html
It is/was the codename for a hardware project.
The "Ramanujan" project resulted in the KZPDC series backplane RAID
controller, with driver support in OpenVMS V7.3-1 and later.
Funny.
