What the article you quoted didn't say, but one on CNET yesterday said: HP
will not make use of the 2 new chips, nor will SGI.
HP has its own chipset and HP will wait for Montecito before changing
everything to take advantage of the higher bus speeds.
My initial reaction to Intel releasing an interim chip was that perhaps there
is the need to bridge the gap if Montecito will be delayed.
