A quick test using a "cat" command on an xterm from "Red Hat Enterprise
Linux AS release 3 (Taroon Update 5)" shows behavior similar to /wrap.

But my guess is it's only a spew-limiting measure and that the user probably
doesn't pay attention to the spew anyway.
