ES40 RAID: Mylex KZPAC ?

We need to add RAID to an ES40 667MHz server, and are considering the
options. While attractively priced I have heard that the KZPAC's are
not reliable and I should avoid them if possible. Can anyone with
experience of these controllers please advise ?
