Mail Utility - Logical Names It Needs

What logical names need to be defined so that the OpenVMS Mail Utility
works properly?
This afternoon our OpenVMS Mail Utility stopped working. If anyone
tries to send any mail, they get a message of:
%SYSTEM-F-IVLOGNAM, invalid logical name
I tried looking through the OpenVMS technical documentation without
success. There is very little information on the technical aspects of
configuring the Mail Utility so that it works properly.
