Dave,
You're not alone. Most large Cerner sites are looking at "hitting the
wall", pretty much at mach speeds prior to the arrival of 64-CPU Alphas
(if they are even on the map), and long before Cerner will be prepared
to certify either V8.2 or I64. Exactly when we could expect to see 64
CPU I64 SuperDomes, and whether they'd measure up to 32 CPU Alphas is
anyone's guess (especially Intel's!), Cerner considerations aside.
The AlphaServer website does show 64 CPU Alphas. My preliminary feelers
have indicated negative awareness of this among the HP field personnel.
HP management have been apprised since roughly -5 days. No response to
date.
