What version of Apache are you running?
I've seen JavaScript get messed up by the STREAM_LF requirement. If you are running SWS-2.1 then you need to disable the STREAM_LF requirement via the following method:

I recall we did look into this, now remembering STREAM_LF being mentioned and Smiley did research and work on this but to no avail. Maybe he didn't quite get it done for some reason, but I have faith in his work. I have to, because I'm not an expert at this.
