Didn't Don tell him it's called "HP OpenVMS?"
Sigh ... Its always amusing to see those "IT rookies" (like media
reporters/analysts who have never spent any time in a DC
use the term "legacy" to describe what they do not understand in aimply that
condescending and/or derogatory manner in such a way as to
the platforms they are familiar with are in some way better.
Martin Banks is one of the longest serving UK IT journalists around.
I've still got his review of the DEC Rainbow somewhere.

When someone refers to an entire platform as legacy, then they obviously
have not learned (regardless of how long they have been around) that all
platforms have legacy versions, but that does not mean current versions
are legacy.
Case in point - Microsoft itself calls Windows 2000 and NT4 legacy.
However, I think Martin Banks would have a tough time generalizing and
calling Microsft Windows "legacy".

OpenVMS - the secure, multi-site OS that just works.
