Downgrading to DECNET-5 requires a LOT more system resources (and disk space).I realize that, but I thought I should give it a try.
I realize there can be reasons to run Phase 5, but if you do not have one of these reasons, my question is appropriate.
Getting experience running it seems like a good reason, taking time now
against the day when one of those business-critical needs arrives.
I don't buy that argument. It's too much like "VMS may die, we have to migrate now". In either case, if the possible (not inevitable) event occurs, there will be an opportunity to address it at the time it occurs.
