a) Yes, the current zip "works". I did once catch an error message
along the lines of "unexpected bytes past EOF"- I didn't capture the
exact message- with the older version.
b) It *shouldn't* work- my input file is nearly twice the expected
capabilities of zip 2.x. More work needs to be done...
