How does that work then?

I put 0.9 KW electricity into my heatpump and gets aprox 2.5 KW heat
(heating the warm-water used for heating the house).
Efficiency > 250%. The heatpump takes it's "heat" from the
ventilation air going out of the house, lowering it's temp
from aprox 20 degC to aprox 5 degC.

I'd rather use *that* heat to warm my house then the heat from
lamps at "only" 100% efficiency where I'd needed 2.5 KW of
electricity to get the same amount of heating effect.
