When I clicked on the post button nothing happen, so I clicked on it
two more times and the 3rd time around I finally got the confirmation
that the message would be posted.

Well obviouisly each click succeeded in sending one copy of the message.
Three clicks, three copies. Next time wait for a minute of two for
your confirmation or check for new messages on the newsgroup. Or, if
you get it by mail, wait a couple of minutes and click on whatever you
