When I had problems with MAC as a client and VMS as a server, some folks
in the mac groups pointed to me that often the CLIENT blocks certain
requests because the info the client software got tells it access would
be denied. ( I *think* this has to do with how the mount points on the
unix side has been setup).
After you do the MOUNT command on VMS,
SHOW DEV DNFSx:/full or SHOW SECURITY commands:
Here is what I got:
$ show security dnfs1:/class=device
_DNFS1: object of class DEVICE
Owner: [SYSTEM]
Protection: (System: RWPL, Owner: RWPL, Group: RWPL, World: RWPL)
Access Control List: <empty>
I have no idea what the P and L letters mean in this context.
