I don't know the details of what SAIC provided but the equivalent is
probably going to cost real money.  The last I heard, T1 service was
$700/month.  YMMV.

Comcast broadband cable costs me only ~$55/month.  I don't know the cost
of a contract that would allow operating a server.  I suspect that it
would be substantially higher!

That's the reason I got Roadrunner Business Class. I can run any kind
of server I want. I routinely get 18K down and 1.8K up (at least
according to speedtest.net) I can bump it up to 5k up for an extra
fee (but I haven't checked to see what that would be). Right now I'm
paying ~$130/mo for that bandwidth plus 4 static IP's.


And, yeah, I can throw my hat into the ring for hosting also. I've
got storage and I've got boxes available. I've got experience
managing OpenVMS system, but not in an internet environment. I'm
willing to share the load though.
