I wrote a short macro file (not Macro) in 1972. I found I needed it again last year.

It was a really tricky file to write....I kept five separate copies, supposedly in 'safe' places, and lost four of them within a year due to failings of others. The fifth copy was on a roll of paper tape in a box under my bed! It spent years on one of our RA81s as well as several other disks....

There are many other files I bitterly regret not keeping.


Now, if you could just find a working paper tape reader. . . . It has been fifteen or twenty years since I last saw one!

I have a small collection of 3-1/2" floppy disks that hold a small collection of useful stuff. The same stuff is also stored on hard disk.
Hopefully, I'll be able to recover what I need when, and if, I ever need it again.
