In the context of XP, this means that Microsoft will NOT issue mandatory
patches if a major flaw is encountered.
So, say a virus finds another flaw in XP and threathens to infect 50
billion computers still running XP. Will Microsoft really be able to NOT
issue a patch for it ?
Considering how few people actually keep theie MS Software up to date,
would anyone even notice the difference?
A lot of people keep the XP uptodate.
Windows automatic updates !

The problem with automatic updates is that your computer will reboot at unpredictable times. Now if Microsoft could update without the reboots. . . .
I've never had my XP laptop reboot unpredictable becuse of an MS update.
They are usualy applied when I shutdown my laptop.
