your kill & rape examples really are quite a bit of a stretch.
These crimes really hurt people (for life).
Pirating music mainly (only) hurts profits and boni
of a cynical music industry.
Show me musicians who starve because of piracy.
And zapping through Viva, MTV and those brain-dead casting shows
I can well understand that people are not inclined to pay
for that crap.
