Yes, people unknowingly make that mistake a lot of times. But they usually understand the problem once it has been pointed out, and at that point I would hope they don't make it again. :-)

But if you transfer in binary mode, the actual attributes in this case
should make it a no-op.
If it makes any odds, the binary file I pulled down from digiater.nl
via FTP was
in 512byte block size. I had to repair that to return it to the proper
block size using
the script I linked to but once I did that it worked a charm :)
Right. The block size is another issue/problem.
