%TCPIP-I-SMTP_SYMBRUN, symbiont is running the queue TCPIP$SMTP_DTL01_01
501 %TCPIP-E-SMTP_COMMANDERR, SMTP command error gmail.com
is gmail the destination email or the gateway SMTP server ?
You can really increase the logging, all the way to the symbiont trace
I Think it is TCPIP$SMTP_SYMB_TRACE logical set to 1 but not sure. You
need to TCPIP> STOP MAIL and start it again so that the logical name's
value is reread by the symbiont. Then you get to see the whole
conversation made by the SMTP server to the remote server.
TCPIP Services doesn't return to you the actual error message sent by
the remote server. But you will see it in the trace.
