    Hi All,

Recently picked up a Compaq DS20e. This is the first one of these
I've seen, it shows a production date of 7/2000 and is the large 5U
rackmount chassis. The machine has one 500MHz EV6, 1GB RAM (4
sticks), 3 HD blank panels (in a 4 slot drive cage), and all three
hotswap PSU's. I've managed to get it up and running w/o issue.

I got this machine *very* cheap as it was missing some non-critical
cosmetic parts. I'd like to find them at a reasonable price (which
won't be from Compaq) as I am a hobbyist and intend to use the machine
personally as a workstation/light duty server. Right now it is being
used as a (very large, very reliable) Seti slave.

    I need to locate:

    (1) DS20e Rackmount Front Panel or Deskside Conversion Kit

    (1) working DS20e Floppy/CD-ROM combo drive

    (1) working 500MHz EV6 module (the goal is to run this machine with
    RedHat 7.2 SMP)

I could use a SCA hotswap HD sled also, but I can get that on eBay if
necessary. The other stuff is a bit harder to find, can't even locate
a part number on the floppy/CD-ROM combo. Not sure if it requires a
sled/carrier or plugs right into the SCA-like connector inside that
    slot on the DS20e.

Anybody have this stuff laying around used on a shelf for reasonable
$$, this 500MHz CPU card is not the 'latest and greatest' 667MHz or
833MHz EV6x current model. Perhaps someone still has the front panel
and CD/floppy drive from a dead or discarded DS20e?

Possible trades could include a fully configured and functional
    PC164LX EV56 machine (DEC mobo) 600MHz/256MB/CD/Soundblaster/2940UW as
well as some external Digital SBB shelves, around a dozen SBB PSU's,
    etc.

Current eBay value of my configured PC164LX machine is ~ $300. Pix
are available if you have something I'm looking for to trade (or
    partially trade) for it.

If you email me at the indicated address, please be patient, sitemouse
is my spam-catcher account and I check it no more than several times
    per week.

    Best Regards,
