The DEC is a alpha station 200 4/100. It communicates with serial
devices (using a propriety SW package). The good RX & good TX counts
usually go up in tandem . However the current statistics are

Comms Diags 1 Comms Diags 2
     Good Tx 49400 49070
     Good Rx 49350 48970
     Bad Tx 101 93
     Bad Rx 0 0
     Tx Timeout 4 28
     Rx Timeout 5 29
