Not really. I use an IBM 0662S12 disk (1.05 GB) and that works fine. the
disks should show up even if they did not spin up at power on. How did you
set the SCSI id's on the drives?
BTW the DEC controllers are usually factory set at SCSI id 6, so make sure
that none of the disks use that id.
