This is the operating system image. BRUSYS is the image format used to
build the tape. Without a tape reader, it is a bit useless I'm afraid.

Well, my best suggestion would be for you to find out who could have a
PDP with an RK drive and a TA77, TA78, TU80 or such, and build a RSX11M+
system on one of your disks, then go back home and boot the RK05.

AFAIK, no. PDP 11/23s can remote boot via a downloaded bootable image,
but it is a very different hardware.

Try to find a similar config, have your system disk built (takes time as
it is written in MACRO-11 and you have to go through dozen of questions
via a SYSGEN utility, then compile the OS, then link, then boot).
All the above from to of my (getting old) head, as I left PDP land in
1982, when I installed my first VAX 11-750 at Dassault Aircrafts :-)
