Hi,
I have got an Alphaserver 1000A 4/266, but I suspect that the bcache
doesn't work as it should. At least I can't get NetBSD boot, my screen
is full of messages of the type "Warning: Processor correctable error
detected." But when I test my memory at the SRM console, there is not
problem. I also tried to switch memory modules etc... I really tried
a lot, bot neither NetBSD nor debian Linux wants to install. Plus I
also get those errors when I run "test" at the SRM console - but when
I only run "memtest" or "disktest" I don'get these errors. So I really
suspect its the cache.
Now, is there any way of disabling the whole bcache? At least it would
be interesting for finding the source of my troubles with the machine.
