I am not sure what type of memory you need exactly, but as far as I
know, 1000A's do not need 5 modules per bank, but only 4 (the 1000 does
need 5!). The sockets for the 5th module are present but not used. My
1000A 5/300 has 4 * 4 * 32 MB and works fine. The modules are the same
as being used in the VAX 4000/108.
