Good idea. However the AlphaBIOSes I downloaded came from ex-Digital FTP
server and were targeted for 164LX (I've used the web interface to
locate them). Furthermore, I doubt other Alpha stations/servers using
the same AlphaBIOS version are limited to only 1GB RAM.

True, but the web gives contradictory informations (I started a thread
called "AlphaPC 164LX questions" about these informations): some
technical references state the maximum memory is 512MB, others 1GB. Some
documentations say the fastest processor is 600MHz, others 667MHz. So...
