The S3 switch is in the VT console position. The OPA0 port is connected to a
PC that runs a Reflection2 VT300 emulator. That PC connects COM1 and COM2 to
a Digital Server 3300 and a Digital Server 5305. The VAXstation 4000
connects to a serial port to USB converter. That's why it is on COM3. I
removed all the memory boards (4 * 4 MB and 2 * 16 MB) and the LCG color
board; cleaned the contacts with a brush.
I put the LCG board and the two 16 MB simms back in place and booted. That
was two hours ago:

$ sh sys/nopr
OpenVMS V7.2 on node XENON 20-DEC-2003 12:41:30.02 Uptime 0 02:47:28
$ sh err
%SHOW-S-NOERRORS, no device errors found
$

It is a hobbyist system, replaced by two VAxstation 4000-90A's so it hadn't
been switched on for two months. Perhaps it must be powered on periodically.
Side question: I only have the Options Installation guide for the VS
4000-60. It hardly mentions maintenance and repair activities. I'm looking
for a service/maintenance manual for the 4000-60.
