    The problem with my VAXstation 4000-60 is probably located in the LCG color
    graphics board. After I pulled the LCG board the system booted without
    reporting an error message. With the LCG installed it returned this error:

    ?? 010 2 LCG 0112

    >>> B/1

    ?33 UNXINT
    004 80000022 037E7A0C E0046844 00000000
    0814CB05 00001E83 E0046830 041F0000

    Without service documentation there's no way to interpret all that other
    than that the LCG board may be at fault. There is an interesting difference
    with the VAXstation 4000-90A. If the graphics board in the 90A is removed,
    faulty r improperly installed then VMS no longer recognizes the 90A as a
    VAXstation (let alone a model 4000-90A) and VMS refuses to load a license.
    The VAXstation 4000-60 apparently is less strict.

    Even though I usually run DECwindows on a ReflectionX system it would be
    nice to have a working graphics controller again. If you happen to have an
    LCG board (or SPXg) that you no longer need, please let me know. Remove
    .nieuw from the email address.
