cd changers and VMS

Hello
I'm trying to connect a Pioneer DRM-624x cd changer to a VAXserver 3100
running 7.3. According to all the docs I can find the 624 should show up as
7 devices.
Well its only showing up as a single device
REBOOT> show dev dkb200/full

I recall Acorn software (now out of business) use to
offer software drivers or something for changers on VMS.
Is there something that I need to add or should I go to a
slot type changer.
