FWIW, I seem to recall that the Pioneer DRM-624x shows up on the SCSI bus with
its configured SCSI ID and (7) seven logical unit numbers (LUNs). Any SCSI
driver used with the beast must provide support for accessing the LUNs.

Tho I know nothing about the VMS software, I can speculate that the DEC standard
issue driver for the SCSI host adapter does not handle LUNs. Unless DEC sold a
SCSI tape changer for VMS, LUN support would have no need to exist.

BTW, the Pioneer DRM-624x is quite a dog, slow to change CDs and very slow to
read them by any standard. If you can find a discarded or cheap CD-ROM tower
with SCSI CD-ROM drives, you'd be way ahead of the game... Ben Myers
