As Clay said, VMS will only autoconfigure the first LUN. You need
explicit SYSGEN CONNECTs to get the other LUNs.
After that, it works quite well with VMS.
(Years ago, I talked to one of the engineers for the 604X. He confirmed
that one of their test machines was a VAXstation running VMS and that
they had made firmware changes so that it behaved well.)
For the most part, you can even MSCP serve these units. If you start
thrashing the disks, I have seen them go into a Mount Verification that
could not be cleared without rebooting the machine. (VMS 5.5-2)
