:There was a demo program for DECtalk, written using dBase if I remember
:correctly. You could demo the various voices, the context capabilities and
:even the 'singing' ability (Hello Dolly, Roll Out the Barrel).

There are a number of different DECtalk models around, some newer and
some older. I am reasonably familiar with DTC01 DECtalk-I and DTC03
DECtalk-III models as well as with the DECvoice stuff -- it has been
years, however -- and am less familiar with the newer DECtalk models.

What DECtalk programming, documentation, and support material I have
available (that can be released) has been included on various of the
older OpenVMS Freeware distributions -- the directory name is often
DECtalk, but the contents can differ. The three most recent Freeware
      distributions (4, 5, and 6) are at:

The folks running the Encompass (formerly DECUS) software library likely
also have various Freeware distributions -- and potentially also DECnet
      materials -- posted for downloads.

For related DECtalk information, check with the folks over at the URL:

There have been discussions of DECtalk materials, songs and such here
and in other newsgroups. You might want to try searching the newsgroup
      archives, in other words.
