I've had to have a number of TF86 drives replaced by DEC/Compaq/HP
service over the years; they always send us a TK86 SCSI drive, and
the FS engineer then has to remove the TF86 drive from the drive
cage, move the DSSI adaptor board (which clips onto the TK86) to
the replacement drive, put same back in cage and then insert into
DSSI drive slot ... usually they also remember to swap the "TK86"
label on the front of the replacement drive for the "TF86" label on
the old drive.

So I would suggest that you remove the drive from the cage and see
if it doesn't have a DSSI adaptor board clipped onto it; remove
that, and you'll have a TK85. (The part-no. label on the back will
likely say TK85; only the removable plastic label on the front will
say TF85...)

Hope it helps,
