Strange it is. I presume from your comments that the smaller disks *do*
have bootable systems on them, and that you also need to go through the
same, null, sysboot process to get a successful boot ?
Maybe a timing thing then. If it affects many disks, perhaps the controller
is on its way out. Any problems after booting ?
