    Hi,

I finally managed to gather all the required part to build a little
workstation based on the DEC AlphaPC 164LX motherboard. I need this
system being supported by Tru64, Linux and Windows NT. Hence, I bought a
second-hand Ensoniq ES1371 soundcard that is supported by all 3 OSes.
Unfortunately, I discovered this card hard locks on the AlphaPC 164LX
motherboard, as was confirmed by several posts on the
    comp.os.linux.alpha forum :-(

It apperas that Ensoniq ES1887/8 soundcards are supported by the Tru64,
Windows NT and Linux too. And I don't want to make the same mistake, so
does anybody experiences hardware problem with this sound card on the
    AlphaPC 164LX motherboard?

    Thanks for any input.
