The border-line can get a little blurred at times. Let me give
you an example:

Some years ago I got an official, formal letter from the
manufacturer of the car that I then drove. It advised me
that there is a problem with the starter motor on the model
that I own (do I dare to say that word? :-) They will replace
it free of charge at my convenience but, until that's done,
I should not drive the car at over 80Kph because of the
risk of it catching fire. If it does, insuarance company
may refuse to pay because I had been advised of the risk.

How's that for car ownership?

That's news to me. Wouldn't know about Germany but do you mean
it's becoming a norm in whereever you are? [Totally unrelated to
anything even remotely connected to VMS of course. Want to open
a competition on how far off-topic can people get?]
