    Command Line is not "***" it is the best way to an opsys (says the sysadmin)
    A GUI is only the cream on the cake (for the user).

    Don't ask me about Linux (or MILO).
    And don't expect a GUI solves all your problems (it is the other way round)...

    Don't ask me about *BSD either. I'm a VMS guy (with a dUNIX experience).
    But I'd assume one does it with a "dd" on another U**X system...

    No, the problem with Linux is, most assume that you install it on a PC
    hardware. And for all other hardware options you are on your own.

    Try to install M$ on anything other than a PC hardware and you're also SOL.
    I did it on a Digital Personal Workstation (Alpha) once and was frustrated.

    If you want OpenVMS, no problem (except that your Alpha may have an old
    SCSI CD-ROM not capable of reading self burned media - only original ones)
    If you want something different, ask other guys ;-)
