[DS10] Where to look in my problematic system ?

This week one of my DS10 ceased to work. It showed various errors during
booting afterwards which I assumed then must be a hardware problem.

So I did a >>>TEST and SRM showed a message that the test will run 90sec.
And then it freezed. No more messages, no ^C to abort test either.

I assume, that first thing system does is it reorganizes memory for the test
and so the most likely reason is a problem with its memory. Am I right ?
Or is it the MoBo ?

btw: What would you expect me to pay for an f-call ? (No service, no warranty)

TIA
