Set the dip switch to run with a serial console.
Just turn off the VT220 when you're not using it or use a serial cable
from the PC to the VaxStation. The VaxStation will still run.

Unfortunately I think I am already doing this. I have the S3 Alternate
Console switch in the UP position and the VT200 connected to the printer
port. After I have booted the box, if I switch the VT220 off it halts the
system. Is there something wrong with what I am doing?
