I own an hp840C and also an hp5500. Have not been able to put them
both on my computer, Windows XP. (Wanted to use one for photos only
and use up cartridges I still have for 840c) When I try to install
5500, get message 'cannot locate printer.' Have uninstalled,
reinstalled several times to no avail. HP Tech support said I could
'not' have 2 printers on a computer and I would need to uninstall 840C
before I could load 5500. This made no sense to me as I know a number
of people using 2 printers...so am wondering what I am doing wrong w/
the setup. Or by some chance was HP Support correct?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!
