It might be that the /etc/inet/netmasks file on the Solaris machine
"locks out" the HP because it's sitting on a subnet too far away.
It might also be that the line "* Local local@console.."
in /usr/vue/config/Xservers or /usr/dt/config/Xservers
on the HP must be commented if it does not have a console terminal (?).
A final idea is that the BROADCAST_ADDRESS in /etc/rc.config.de/netconf
of the HP machine is incorrect; try an empty string "" there.
