I'm trying to connect a Overland Storage DLT8000 loader to a K-Class which
running HPUX 10.20, after I connect it to a 28655A SE/LVD card (this is a
dedicated SCSI card, not connecting to any other device), I run ioscan -fnC
tape I can see the Quantum DLT8000 drive has been claimed and the device
files has been created. But when I trying to tar a file in to it, the
K-Class shows me cannot open device and when I run mt -f /dev/rmt/2m stat it
saying that no tape loaded, in fact I have already loaded a tape on the tape
drive. I've try to swap this Overland autoloader to a DDS2 tape drive it
works.
Can K-Class with 28655A LVD/SE SCSI card, HP-UX connect to a DLT8000 LVD
FastWide SCSI-2 device? Also, I have try to connect this loader to another
K-Class with 11i but it still shows me the same error.
Thanks for help....
