Hello,
I am working on integration of account management on HP-UX 11.11 (as
well as Solaris and Linux) with Novell eDirectory. Has anybody done it
successfully?
To begin, I copied /etc/pam.ldap and /etc/nsswitch.ldap, that came
with the OS, to /etc/pam.conf and /etc/nsswitch.conf respectively.
Then I ran /opt/ldapux/config/setup, picked up MS Active Directory
option, and entered the IP address an port of my eDir server, which
did not take, I believe. (How do I uninitialize it, btw?)
Niether login, nor ftp against a directory user account (which works
fine for Solaris and Linux integration) worked. I have already extened
the schema according to RFC 2307, so all I need
/opt/ldapux/config/setup for, is to configure the native LDAP client
on HP-UX.
Any suggestions are welcome.
If this does not work, is PADL's pam_ldap/nss_ldap combo a viable
option?
Thanks,
