I have a D370 with the service card also. Mine works and I have the
service/normal switch in the normal position. Console is plugged into the
port marked as console on the main board. You shouldn't see any console
messages until all the self tests are complete. I normally see three
characters on the console at power up, I beleive this is the PPP negotiation
sequence and ignore it!
Also make sure that you have the correct cable - I believe you need RTS/CTS
pins in addition to Tx, Rx and Gnd.
