Sam should be in /usr/sbin; at least that's where it is on my
hp 9000 (11.0).

The man pages should have been installed by default as well. Unlike
AIX, you don't have to go through extra steps to get the man pages on.

You also mentioned in a later post that swinstall is complaining about
not being able to connect to the host. That is almost always an issue
with name resolution. Verify that you have an /etc/nsswitch.conf.
Initially, you probably want to point host resolution to files and
ensure you have your system's IP address listed in it.

If you don't have a /usr/sbin/sam and don't have man pages, are you sure
that you have everything mounted and/or aren't in single user mode?
