Success! For the record and future reference, here's a list of Open
Source packages that I had to download (from one of the the Software
Porting And Archive Centres for HP-UX) and install before Cscope
compiled and installed:
bison flex m4 gawk gmake automake gcc ncurses
Prior to that, while I was installing vim and tcsh, I had also
downloaded and installed several packages that are listed as build or
runtime dependencies for the above packages. In the end, I ran the
following commands to compile and install Cscope:
% ./configure
% gmake
% gmake install
