Like most daemons under HP-UX, sendmail is started and stopped via an init
script. To stop the daemon, type "/sbin/init.d/sendmail stop" when logged in
as root. If you want to disable it from starting on future reboots, edit
/etc/rc.config.d/mailsrvr... Change the SENDMAIL variable value from 1 to 0.
(Hope I got that right from memory... It's pretty close if not exact... Wish
I had my HP system with me. :)
