I've been using Autosys for a while about 6 years ago,
and at that time, it was a terrible security hole.
Make sure they've added appropriate mutual certificate
or ticket based client-server authentication since.
Features are really useful - you can schedule jobs
by time, events or conditions, introduce job dependencies,
structurize jobs and admin roles into different classes,
view jobs and logs in different formats, use GUI or CLI,
etc etc etc, and obviously rule everything from one place.
