The trivial method would be to use RS232 for console but of course in this
age and time we need something better (even better than dial in modem
support).
The answer for LAN console via GSP (or MP in newer machines). One problem is
that the data goes in clear via local lan console.
Hence, the addition of web console where data is not in clear but encrypted.
Other pros of web console are pointed out by fellow users.
